A flower usually belongs to nature. In this work, it exists somewhere else.
The flower begins as a painting. By cutting the forms from plywood, I allow them to leave the
flat surface and become independent objects. The act of cutting becomes part of the painting
itself, allowing the image to occupy space rather than remain confined to a flat surface.
One of these objects takes the shape of a flower. Rather than growing freely, it exists within a
carefully constructed environment where natural forms and industrial materials quietly merge.
Removed from its original surroundings, the flower begins to take on a different identity,
balancing between something familiar and something imagined.
I am interested in the moment when nature is no longer simply observed but reshaped. Instead
of offering a clear answer, the work leaves space to wonder whether something transformed
can still preserve its essence. Can it blossom?
The result is a hybrid flower that grows and evolves in a space dominated by other
interventions. Through the human lens, the figure becomes just a fragment, always haunted
by its different versions.
