Up until quite recently I hadn’t really had a proper experience of meeting people on the internet. I had heard about it, about people having international friends or even relationships, and it always struck me as something barely managable or possible. So I decided to give this a try myself. I opened up myself to a world of new possible friendships via internet. And time after time I’ve found many interesting people with whom I’ve shared stories and had an overall fun time. Some of the people I’ve met struck out so much, that I definitely can’t let the stories I’ve heard go to waste. I need to put them down. And this is what this artwork is about, it’s a collage of the stories and impressions I got from this one specific person who lives in a country in many ways different from mine. His childhood and view of life being pretty different that of mine. For exmaple, have you had a near death experience, where someone almost shot you while riding a motorcycle? I think most people can’t relate to that. Holding a respect for this person, although we don’t stay in touch anymore, I won’t express other details, that are pretty influential of the
overall collage of this work. However, I will tell you this story in private, if you ever feel the interest or connection to ask me such.
